A Thuistí, a chairde,

Bhí sé fíor-ghnóthach ar scoil le tamall le go leor rudaí ag tarlú gach seachtain, thíos gheobhaidh sibh tuairisc beag ar a bhí ar siúl le déanaí agus a bheidh ag tarlú don chuid eile don téarma.

We have had a very busy time at school recently especially since we returned after the Easter Break. Below you will find a list of some of our recent activities and what’s ahead for the rest of the term.

Ba mhaith liom mo bhuíochas a ghabhail le muintir na scoile agus mé ag dul ar scor ag tús mhí Dheireadh Fómhair seo chugainn. Onóir an tsaoil a bhí ann dom freastal a dhéanamh ar pháistí na scoile seo le breis is fiche bliain. Guím gach rath ar an scoil, páistí, tuistí, foireann agus bord sa todhchaí.

On a personal note, I would like to inform the school community that I will be retiring from my position as principal on October 6th. It has been the honour of my life to serve your children as a class-teacher since 1999 and as principal since 2002. I have loved my job, and will no doubt miss the children, but I will leave knowing that the school will continue to thrive in the years ahead. We have a fabulous staff, Board of Management, Parent body and of course children.

I would like to thank you, the parents of the school, for your support, kindness and friendship over the years.

It was 6 brave parents who sent their children to the Gaelscoil on that first September day in 1990. The classroom was a converted hairdresser’s salon and the teacher was unpaid………… buíochas leo agus le Carmel a bhunaigh an scoil.
