Nuachtlitir 06/10/22
A Thuistí, a Cháirde,
Tá sé deacair a chreidiúnt go bhfuil Aonach na gCapall anseo agus go bhfuilimid i mí Dheireadh Fómhair. Bhí téarma an-ghnóthach againn go dtí seo!
It’s hard to believe that the Fair is upon us, and that October has begun!. We have had a very busy and enjoyable term to this point!
We returned to school on September 1st and welcomed our Naíonáin Bheaga – they have all settled very well into school life with Múinteoir Gráinne assisted by Múinteoir Grace and Megan.
We also welcomed Múinteoir Laoise to Rang 3 and Múinteoir Uinseann to Rang 2, and Megan as a classroom assistant in Naíonáin Bheaga. Megan is currently studying in Mary Immaculate College and is completing her placement with us this year.
Taster Tuesday: Rang a Sé are preparing for their Secondary school journey and to this end, we’ve already had visits from our local schools, Garbally College and Ardscoil Mhuire. Rang 6 will spend a full day in Secondary School on ‘Taster Tuesday’ which takes place on Tuesday, 11/10/22. The children will attend a number of different classes on the day and get a taste for life in secondary school. We are very grateful to both of our secondary schools for providing this experience for our pupils – the day is always very much enjoyed by all.
Thanks also to Coláiste an Eachréidh, the Secondary Gaelscoil from Athenry who also visited us recently, we currently have 3 past-pupils studying there with the prospect of more in the future.
Gearóidín has made a change, she is now working with us every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and Marie is helping us out on Mondays and Tuesdays.
County Photos are booked and will visit the school on October 14th to take school photographs.
