A Thuistí,
Tá súil agam go bhfuil sibh uilig go maith. Díreach píosa eolas chun sibh a choinneáil suas go dáta faoi imeachtaí i Rang a 6.
I hope you are all keeping well. Rang a 6 have been working extremely hard since we have returned to school. I am delighted with the effort they are putting in.
Confirmation
The date of Confirmation has just been announced. It will take place on Sunday, May 23rd. The time of the ceremony and other details will be announced early next week. We look forward to the day.
Graduation
We have also been working on some graduation art etc. in order to prepare for your Child’s graduation. As of yet I have no details of when or how this ceremony will take place but I will work towards making it a memorable and enjoyable ceremony for all children. When I receive details of what can or cannot be done I will let you all know.
In the meantime as we are putting a yearbook together I would be very grateful if you could write a letter for your child that can be included in this yearbook. Anything at all maybe included in the letter, including memories from Scoil Uí Cheithearnaigh, wishes for the future, words of advice, etc. Also you may add a picture or two to the letter you write if you wish. These letters can be emailed to me or you may wish to send it in with your child in an envelope to school.
School Trip – Outing
Also your child may have spoken to you yesterday afternoon with regards a school tour that I am hoping to organise for the class in order to mark their last year in scoil Uí Cheithearnaigh and to make their last few weeks here enjoyable. I have organised for the class to have a day out in Tommie Costello’s (Cuckoo Hill) on Friday the 25th of June. I also hope to order pizza/Supermacs etc. on the day also and to make it as much of a school tour as I possibly can. I would be very grateful to get your feedback about this tour. As bringing a large groups of children on a bus at this time is not advisable parents may wish to drop off and pick up their child from Tommie’s themselves. We will hopefully be there from 9.00/9.30a.m – 3p.m that day. Obviously I am aware that some parents may not be able to do this, so a bus/mini bus can be arranged to bring these children to and from the tour. We will most certainly follow all Government guidelines that have been given to us. Again I would be grateful for any feedback you may have or any suggestions you might have.
Scrúdaithe Drumcondra
Also, next week and the following week we will be doing the Drumcondra tests on Tuesday 11th & Wednesday 12th , and also Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th. I hope that all children will be in attendance on those days in order for all children to get the tests completed together.
As I have said I want to make your Child’s last few weeks in Scoil Uí Cheithearnaigh as enjoyable as possible as I understand how difficult the past two years have been for them, and they deserve to make some happy memories before they move on to their next chapter in life.
Go raibh maith agaibh ar fad faoi chuile chabhair agus cúnamh a thugann sibh dom.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Kind regards,
Go raibh maith agaibh,
Fiona
