Mar is eol daoibh táimid an ghnóthachach ar scoil ag ceiliúradh seachtaine na Gaeilge!

As you are aware we are very busy at school celebrating ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’.

A great number of children participated in Scór na bPáistí in Athenry on Sunday and we brought home prizes in solo singing, drama and instrumental music.

Our school participated in the Conradh na Gaeilge schools’ quiz on Monday evening bringing home the top prize.

Rang 4 will perform a drama of the story of St. Patrick on at the Irish mass on St. Patrick’s Day at 9 a.m. Our former pupil Eimear Ní Bhroin will sing during the mass. All families are invited to attend.

We will be taking part in the Ballinasloe St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday – details of starting points and collection points will be published tomorrow.

We look forward to céilí and quizzes and lots of celebrations over the next few days!

On Thursday we plan to have a ‘Lá Glas’ at school where the children will be invited to wear GREEN to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The children can wear anything green that you have at home – t-shirts, tracksuits, ribbons, hats, flags ………. anything at all!! We look forward to an enjoyable day!! We will be doing a lot of talking about green tomorrow!!
